CHS Winter Conference 2010

On Thursday, 11 February 2010, which is the day before PantheaCon starts, Cherry Hill Seminary (CHS) will be holding their Winter Conference. The conference will feature Steven Posch, a veritable legend in the Twin Cities’ pagan community, fondly known as Paganistan.

I had the pleasure of meeting Steven at the Sacred Harvest Festival 2008. For some reason, he wasn’t as heavily promoted at this event as he was at the previous year’s one. I made a point of attending his workshop and participated in his impromptu sunset rituals as he had come highly recommended by my good friend, Macha Nightmare. I was not disappointed, as Steven has an entertaining inimitable style.

I have fond memories of sitting around a campfire relaxing with newly made friends, including Steven. The booze flowed freely, but not quite as freely as the conversations. Steven had a great sense of humour and was a pleasure to hang with.

There is a substantial discount for those who register before 6 December.

  1. Besides being an accomplished poet, storyteller and scholar of paganism, Steven is highly regarded as an inspired and competent ritualist. There are a great many of us who feel very lucky to have felt the presence of the Old Gods when participating in one of Steven’s rituals. I have personally visited the Grand Sabbat and touched the Old God (both physically, spirtually and emotionally) at one of Steven’s rituals. I have even been transported back in time to the feast around the Golden Calf. If you have the chance to connect with Steven, keep your ears open, you might learn a thing or thirteen about real Paganism and have a good laugh at the same time. Jonathan Nightshade

  2. It sounds like CHS Winter Conference 2010 attendees are in for a real treat. The west coast pagan scene won’t know what hit it!

Jo-Ann and I are looking forward to reconnecting with Steven.

  3. I have attended several of Steve Posch’s rituals and workshops, and it has always proven to be a very engaging educational and spiritual experience, with a large dollop of fun thrown in. Steven is an accomplished ritualist whose rituals have great depth and always challange both himself and the participants. He is also a very knowledgeable and gifted educator whose greatest gift is an openness to learn as much as he teaches. I would urge anyone who has the opportunity to experience what Steven has to give to take advantage of it. You will come out of it the richer. Snatch

  4. Thank you for sharing your experiences with Steven. In every workshop, participants want to learn, experience and be entertained. It is obvious that Steven delivers on all three fronts!
