The event was organized by Brian, Patricia, Hope, Linda and Gina along with a number of volunteers. There were a number of rituals, lots of musical entertainment, and a large range of workshops to choose from. I presented my workshop, “The Practice of Ancient Greek Religion Today.”

While I made myself available to talk about Cherry Hill Seminary (CHS), as I usually do, I was beaten to the punch by Covenant of the Goddess – Orange County Local Council, who were getting the word out with CHS brochures.

While the Los Angeles PPD is a bigger event than San Diego PPD, it has a very different feel to it. Attendees tend to spend the entire day at the San Diego event. However, at Los Angeles, they tend to breeze in, enjoy the activities and stalls for a couple of hours, and then breeze on out. This translates to more potential sales for stall holders.

Jo-Ann and I attended the seventh annual San Diego Pagan Pride Day (PPD) on Saturday 12 September 2009.

The event was organized by Valera, Cari, Hope, Alan & Karen who again managed to please the local pagan community, and help out a couple of local charities in the process. It was great to see former organizer, Tamara, returning to the fold, as it were, as a volunteer helper.

It was a glorious sunny day, but a tad cooler than for the previous couple of PPDs. Quite a few people made the most of it, spending the entire day there, enjoying the music, workshops and stalls.

Jo-Ann and I had the privilege of spending much of the day at the authors’ table with Donald Michael Kraig and his partner, Holli. After a really long break, Don finally has a new book out. It’s an exciting esoteric novel called The Resurrection Murders – a story that could only be told by someone with Don’s background in the occult.

There was a broad range of workshops to choose from, spanning a number of diverse traditions. I presented my workshop, “The Practice of Ancient Greek Religion Today,” for the first time.

As usual, I made myself available to talk about Cherry Hill Seminary.
